Chapter 130: Premonitions of the Opening
“So sleepy.” Although a shut-in, he had at least been asked to clean his room from time to time before, so this was just a nostalgic revisit. He spent the entire night patching up the large hole in the ceiling, all the while grumbling inwardly, “With such a great talent as Mashu Kyōsō, why is it that the summoned heroic spirits always seem to fall from the ceiling?”
With a strange sense of reflection, Lanser returned to the living room. Normally, having a heroic spirit do chores would be beneath them, but the fact that he could openly enter and exit the lady’s room made the cleaning task feel like a trivial price to pay.
“However...” Lanser glanced calmly at the clock in the living room, which was nearing seven o’clock. Back in the day, he would have already been furiously scribbling notes at school by this time, but thinking of the children in District 11, he couldn’t help but shed tears.
“Forget it.” With a strange feeling, he pushed open Rin’s door, only to be met with a cascade of black lines hanging over his head the moment the door swung open.
“I heard Rin is a noble lady at school but a complete mess at home; yet, I didn’t expect...” Lanser sighed helplessly and began tidying the room without disturbing Rin, who was still asleep in bed. Since she managed things well before his arrival, it meant it was okay not to call her out.
But when Lanser casually pulled out a pair of pink lace-trimmed panties from under the bed, he felt the breeze suddenly turn chaotic.
“Who would have thought—a noble lady would own such childish panties.” Since his previous movements hadn’t woken her, he naturally felt emboldened. But unexpectedly...
“What did you say...” At that moment, Lanser felt an icy chill run down his spine and stiffly turned his head.
“Master, after hearing your explanation, I just...”
“Baka! Pervert!”

“By the way, could you take off your cloak?” Rin looked at Lanser trailing behind her with utter exasperation. Although having a heroic spirit by the master’s side was normal, this one stubbornly refused to manifest spiritual energy and wore bizarre attire, leaving her speechless.
“Are you an idiot? If others find out your identity in the Holy Grail War, it’ll be very troublesome. Even as Assassin, the best way to conceal my strength is to hide my appearance.” Lanser’s words were reasonable, but Rin could clearly sense a strong grudge beneath them.
“I’ve already apologized to you; it’s just a reflex.” Rin felt a hint of embarrassment as she spoke. When Lanser was mid-explanation, she slapped him directly. Although she had asked him to clean, his words had been a bit much. Being hit eased her mind a little, though the resentment lingered.

Seeing the state outside the house, Rin realized Lanser had put in a lot of effort. Despite being an assassin, his attributes rivaled those of a Saber, indicating he was a formidable assassin. Willing to help tidy the place was a favor to her as his master, so Rin consciously placed herself in a more submissive position.
“Alright, I admit my fault this time. Let’s move on.” Lanser showed no sense of guilt. Many things that others considered great were natural to him, so he lacked the usual awareness heroic spirits had.
“But haven’t you remembered who you really are yet?” Rin momentarily set that aside and started a proper conversation.
“Who knows? Being summoned in such a bizarre way, some of my belongings got lost—my memories might be among them.” Lanser had already prepared his excuse.
“Hmph!” Rin was confident from a young age. While Lanser’s explanation wasn’t necessarily wrong, it still stung. Just as she was about to mock him, a voice came from the roadside.
“Rin!” A girl clutching her schoolbag ran over quickly, ignoring Lanser’s strange attire and throwing herself at Rin.
“Ayako!” Rin struggled to push her away, saying, “Really, you’re still the same as when we were kids.”
With her left hand behind her back, she raised a finger apologetically to Rin’s face.
Only then did she notice Lanser standing behind Rin.
“Hey, hey.” Suddenly realizing something, Ayako pressed close to Rin again and whispered, “Rin, could it be that your...” She finished with a smile like a lecherous uncle.
“Ayako! What are you guessing?” Rin blushed fiercely. Lanser hadn’t been wearing a mask when he first arrived; she had glanced at him then but hadn’t thought much of it. Now, with Ayako’s teasing, she recalled his appearance and the morning’s awkwardness.
“Miss, you might be mistaken.” Lanser forcefully interrupted, dropping to one knee and performing a hand-kiss. Aside from the strange cloak, he looked quite gentlemanly. Although the cloak didn’t cover his face, it obscured it enough that Ayako could only guess, but from the blurred features, she was certain it wouldn’t disappoint.
“Ah, this gentleman is so passionate.” Ayako laughed heartily, showing no fear of Lanser’s gesture.
“Of course, the difference in combat power is obvious.” Lanser shrugged helplessly and stood up after Ayako withdrew her hand.

“So, what exactly is this so-called combat power?” Ayako turned around, and from another angle, Lanser caught a strange smile playing at the corner of her lips.
“Isn’t it obvious? Of course...” Just as Lanser was about to declare his answer without hesitation, he suddenly received a heavy blow to the head.
“Ayako, I’m heading off now.” Rin smiled gently.
“Mm.” Ayako waved goodbye to Rin.
“Oh, and remember to be gentle~ Don’t show your true self when no one’s around~ Being tsundere won’t keep you any boys~” Without giving Rin a chance to respond, Ayako vanished around the corner.
“...” Rin continued walking elegantly toward school as always, but her heart fluttered wildly. Although she was the academy’s idol and had received confessions before, she had never felt this way.
“Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!” In a deserted corner, Rin forcefully threw the still-dazed Lanser away. “It’s all your fault, you idiot!”
Rin received the item “Shut-in struck while unconscious X1.”
This is unbelievable! Why was there no one joining the group last chapter? This makes no sense! After finishing this chapter, I’m seriously planning to go back home and get married.
