Li Sibai looked at the person before him, an indescribable mix of feelings stirring in his heart as a myriad of emotions surged up all at once.

This person had eyes as clear as bottomless pools, a sturdy and powerful physique, and truly possessed a majestic bearing. Standing right there was none other than Li Sibai's senior brother, Mo Yun.

"Senior Brother!" For some reason, despite the thousands of words hovering on the tip of his tongue, Li Sibai managed to utter only these two words.

"Xiaobai, why on earth did you appear here?!" The man before him was indeed Mo Yun, and upon seeing that the intruder was actually Li Sibai, he was struck with astonishment as well.

"Never mind, this is no place to talk. Follow me quickly, we'll discuss it later." Without waiting for Li Sibai to recover from his bewildered expression, Mo Yun took the lead, leaping forward and soaring downward.

Hesitating for a moment, Li Sibai had already guessed something from the clothes Mo Yun was wearing. He also knew that his act of shattering the illusion array moments ago must have alerted the array guardians, so without another word, he closely followed the direction in which Mo Yun had fled.

Before long, he saw Mo Yun waiting for him in front of a cavern ahead. Seeing Li Sibai approach, Mo Yun gestured to him and entered the cave first.

Without hesitation, Li Sibai activated his Purple Light Divine Eyes and followed him into the cave.

After stepping inside, he swept his gaze around and realized it was merely a primitive cavern with only Mo Yun present, which allowed him to finally set his mind at ease.

"Xiaobai, why did you come here?" Before Li Sibai could question him, Mo Yun impatiently repeated his own inquiry.

Li Sibai rolled his eyes. "Senior Brother Mo, I should be asking you that. Why are you here, and why are you wearing the attire of the Demonic Joy Sect?"

Seeing him act this way, Mo Yun shook his head and offered a wry smile. Since childhood, he had always given in to Li Sibai, and even though so much time had passed since they last met, it seemed that habit had not changed at all.

With no other choice, Mo Yun briefly recounted his experiences over this past period to Li Sibai.

Li Sibai also shared his own experiences with Mo Yun.

It turned out that during the period of his disappearance, Mo Yun had been assigned a secret mission by the sect leader—his master, True Person Yunfeng. That mission was to infiltrate the Demonic Cult as a spy.

When Mo Yun had first entered the sect under True Person Yunfeng, he was only at the first level of the Heart-Strumming Realm and had just been promoted to an inner disciple. True Person Yunfeng had seen that he possessed a resolute will, and being an orphan with no ties, accepted him as a disciple while secretly training his capabilities in this regard. During that time, he was sent out on missions multiple times and had earned the affirmation of True Person Yunfeng.

It wasn't until their last meeting before Li Sibai's inner sect examination that True Person Yunfeng formally entrusted this task to him, and Mo Yun accepted without hesitation.

His method of infiltrating the Demonic Joy Sect had been quite twists-and-turns. Although all four major demonic factions were formidable, each possessed distinct characteristics, and choosing which one to infiltrate had taken a considerable amount of deliberation.

The Blood Fiend Mansion was notorious for its bloodlust; they practiced a blood-refinement technique called the Blood Fiend Art. Those who cultivated it would become extremely violent and even required a continuous supply of fresh human blood for their practice. This presented certain difficulties for Mo Yun, as retraining in the Blood Fiend Art required condensing battle qi, something that could not be accomplished overnight.

The Ghost Spirit Sect was well-versed in the ghostly path. The sect generally did not actively recruit disciples; instead, elders within the sect wandered about searching for individuals with ghostly spirit roots to impart their teachings to. It was said that not just anyone could cultivate the ghostly path, so despite its mysterious nature, the Ghost Spirit Sect had very few disciples.

The Poison Palace was a paradise for poison practitioners, filled entirely with secret arts related to poisons. It was a sect with an extremely high threshold, but because they suffered the most severe suppression from orthodox practitioners, they were also the most secretive, leaving no accessible path for outsiders wishing to join.

The last one, the Demonic Joy Sect, could not strictly be considered a pure demonic cult. Because they specialized in the arts of harvesting yin to replenish yang and harvesting yang to replenish yin, their cultivation methods were rather peculiar, leading them to be attacked and labeled as a demonic sect. In reality, some members of this sect practiced true qi while others cultivated battle qi, making it an extremely inclusive demonic faction. Within this sect, regardless of one's background or the cultivation method practiced, strength was the sole basis for status. Therefore, although the Demonic Joy Sect had very few high-level cultivators, it had grown to become the faction with the largest number of members in the demonic cult. Even so, they were still looked down upon by the other three factions.

As for Mo Yun, he had seized an opportunity to infiltrate the Demonic Joy Sect, and over half a year had already passed.

At the time, he had concealed his true identity and the Profound Heaven Art, switching to practice another ordinary cultivation method. Furthermore, his signature Seven-Star Sword, which should have been kept by his side, had not been brought along because his cover had not yet been fully established.

Although his strength at the third level of the Heart-Strumming Realm seemed inconspicuous back then, he had unexpectedly caught the eye of a female elder within the Demonic Joy Sect. She kept him around as a reserve vessel for harvesting yang to replenish yin, which finally allowed him to enter the Demonic Joy Sect and secure the position of a minor leader—a situation that had left Mo Yun deeply depressed for quite some time.
