Chapter 137: Heavenly Origin City, Part Two

Tianyuan City lies in the northeastern part of the Kunlun Mountains. It is one of the few stretches of level ground in the entire range, and as a result, many people have gathered there. Where there are people, commerce flourishes, and the city has grown increasingly prosperous.

The Yao family was one of the most prominent clans in Tianyuan City. Apart from the city lord, the city’s four great families stood at the top, and the Yao family ranked third among them.

Within the entire clan, the clan leader, Yao Tianshun, possessed the highest cultivation. It was said that he had reached the Cloud-Rising Realm, though no one knew his exact level, for he had not shown his strength in a very long time.

Li Sibai was brought to the Yao residence by Yao Xueqing and Uncle Zhong. Their carriage did not enter through the main gate, but instead passed through a side entrance.

It was a secluded courtyard with scarcely anyone around. After getting out of the carriage, Yao Xueqing said to Li Sibai, “Junior Brother Li, let Uncle Zhong make the arrangements for you. You can stay here. I have something to deal with at home, so I’ll go attend to it first. If you need anything, just tell Uncle Zhong. He’ll take care of it for you.”

Li Sibai nodded. “Thank you, Senior Sister. Go ahead and take care of your business.”

Yao Xueqing gave Uncle Zhong a few more instructions, then turned and left, heading straight for the front courtyard.

There was nothing else for Li Sibai to do. Uncle Zhong arranged a place for him to stay and found a young servant to attend to his needs before returning to the front courtyard himself.

The servant’s name was Yao Cheng, and Li Sibai soon became familiar with him.

Li Sibai had come here with the intention of finding a way to earn Yuanling Pearls. Although the Yao family was wealthy and powerful, it did not possess many of those precious pearls, and he could not earn them simply by remaining here. He would have to go out and search for opportunities.

After eating the dinner prepared by the Yao family, Li Sibai asked Yao Cheng to accompany him outside for a stroll. He wanted to see whether he could find some opportunity to earn Yuanling Pearls.
