“Boom!” A massive hand swept through the air, striking fiercely toward Yin Tianfang.

Yin Tianfang’s heart tightened with resolve. With a swift movement, his figure transformed into a streak of light, dashing forward at once.

The gigantic palm slammed into the ground with tremendous force, sending dust and debris flying. Rocks shattered and soared through the air as a vast, palm-shaped crater formed on the edge of the desolate mountain.

A terrifying wave of energy stirred up violent winds. Yin Tianfang stood poised, turning to face the elder several miles away with an expression devoid of emotion. The elder radiated a dreadful aura, his breath surging with a booming roar.

“Master Foundation Stage, Perfect Completion,” Yin Tianfang murmured gravely. He hadn’t expected to attract the attention of such a formidable opponent.

“Boy, hand over all the treasures you carry, and I will spare your life!” the elder commanded.

Without a word, Yin Tianfang swiftly retreated while launching several flying swords toward the elder. The sharp sword energies crisscrossed in the air, enveloping the elder.

Seeing this, the elder snorted coldly and swept his broad sleeve with a sudden motion. A hurricane arose, swallowing the flying swords whole. The swords collided wildly within the storm but could not break free.

“Boy, what else can you do? Even if you detonate those flying swords, you won’t harm me in the slightest,” the elder sneered, hovering in midair as he studied Yin Tianfang.

Had the elder not witnessed Yin Tianfang’s ability to detonate flying swords before, he might have suffered a serious loss. But now, the swords could not even reach him.

Yin Tianfang furrowed his brow. In the next instant, he formed hand seals and softly uttered, “Explode!”

Several flying swords simultaneously detonated. The dreadful tremors radiated outward, dispersing the hurricane completely. A violent energy wave swept through the sky and earth, shrouding the space between them in mist and swirling dust.

Countless boulders on the ground instantly shattered into powder, lifted and scattered by the wild wind in a chaotic storm. Without hesitation, Yin Tianfang turned and sped away.

“Hmph!” The elder snorted and pressed his hand into the void. The raging wind ceased abruptly, and the dust fell swiftly, restoring clarity to the land. Yet the countless crisscrossing fissures on the earth spoke volumes of the explosion’s terrifying power.

“Trying to escape? Not so easy!” With a mere tap of his toe on the void, the elder’s figure moved like a bolt of thunder, quickly entering the range of the desolate mountains.

Just as the elder crossed into the barren mountain region, his forward momentum halted abruptly. He furrowed his brow and surveyed the surroundings. Upon entering this area, a deep unease stirred within him, as if something profoundly adverse to him lurked within the mountains.

Ahead, a creeping mist began to rise, blurring the view. Extending his divine sense, the elder found it swallowed by the fog like a stone sinking into the sea, vanishing without a trace.

Vanished—and irretrievable.

His expression changed drastically. Hastily, he withdrew his divine sense, just as Yin Tianfang was about to disappear from sight. Gritting his teeth, he once again surged forward in pursuit.

Here, divine senses were useless. Once Yin Tianfang slipped beyond his sight, finding him again would be nearly impossible.

Meanwhile, Yin Tianfang approached the misty area. Gazing closely at the swirling fog, he sent out his divine sense, only to find it devoured like a strand of light swallowed by darkness. Alarmed, he immediately severed the connection, unwilling to act rashly.

Excessive damage to divine sense would bring grave consequences—and healing it was far more difficult than healing physical wounds.

Frowning slightly at the billowing mist, Yin Tianfang glanced back at the pursuing elder. Without hesitation, he stepped into the fog.

He chose to walk on the ground rather than fly. What lurked within the mist was unknown and unpredictable. In this shrouded domain, divine sense was useless; only the naked eye could be trusted. Thus, every step Yin Tianfang took was measured and cautious.

Suddenly, the fog surged, and a brilliant light sliced through the void, hurtling straight at him. Startled, Yin Tianfang slapped his storage pouch, releasing a flying sword to intercept the radiant blade.

“Clang!”

The dazzling light struck the flying sword, effortlessly cleaving it in two. The blade’s momentum undeterred, it descended swiftly toward Yin Tianfang.

His expression grave, Yin Tianfang snapped his fingers. A streak of purple light shot forth, blossoming instantly into a colossal purple longsword.

“Boom!”

The purple sword clashed with the radiant blade, sending invisible ripples outward. Winds roared and thick fog churned violently. Within several miles, the mist surged like tidal waves, pushed away by the fierce storm.

As the wind died down, the dense fog rolled back in. Standing his ground, Yin Tianfang’s face paled slightly, cold sweat trickling down his forehead.

His eyes widened, staring blankly ahead. Moments ago, the fog had been pushed aside, thinning several miles forward, where he faintly discerned countless figures standing. At their head was a figure wielding a black longsword.

Silence reigned; the elder who had been chasing Yin Tianfang had yet to appear. Given his speed, he should have caught up by now. But he hadn’t.

The mist swirled as Yin Tianfang swallowed hard, wiping the sweat from his brow. Cautiously, he turned and moved in another direction.

The fog was dense. Divine senses were ineffective, and eyesight extended only a few meters, blurred and uncertain.

“What exactly were those figures? Or are they not human at all?” Yin Tianfang mused. The silhouettes resembled humans standing still but seemed devoid of any life force.

Suddenly, another brilliant light pierced the fog, charging toward him—a blade of light radiating fierce, unmatched energy, causing the surrounding mist to roil.

Yin Tianfang’s expression stiffened. Raising his hand, he clenched it tightly. The blade of light faltered, as if gripped by an invisible hand, struggling to break free.

Spiritual energy surged through him. With a forceful palm strike, the blade shattered instantly.

Yin Tianfang stood firm, a flicker of strangeness in his eyes. Though terrifying in appearance, the blade carried little real power—much weaker than the previous one.

“What kind of place is this?” he wondered, surveying the unknown land with growing unease.

The thick fog enveloped everything. From outside, the fog’s reach seemed limited, but stepping inside felt like plunging into an ocean of mist.

Suddenly, from within the fog came a piercing, agonized scream that sent a chill through Yin Tianfang’s heart. His gaze sharpened toward the source of the sound, and with a stir in his soul, he moved in that direction.
