For two nights after the newcomers moved in, the thirty wooden houses near the lord’s manor became a cacophony of battles—newlyweds engaged in their nightly pursuits, their sounds rising and falling without any soundproofing to contain them. Berion found sleep elusive, but he was powerless to intervene; he couldn’t very well forbid them from making children. In the end, Berion had no choice but to move with Tur and Bran to a cabin outside the castle. Bran, clutching his bedding, grumbled, “Those people are too much, unable to control themselves, and because of their lustful frolics, you, my lord, have to move out.” Before Bran could finish, Berion flicked him sharply on the head. “You little brat, what do you know? Wait till you’re older—let’s see if you can control yourself then.”
Bran snickered, “Hey, my lord, you’re four years older than me. Can you control yourself now?” He dodged a kick from Berion and laughed, “You dare joke about me, don’t make me cut off your little worm tonig
