"King of Romance!" Ye Fei had recently learned about his new nickname, and he found it utterly absurd. If Zhang Xiaoxiao was truly interested in him, that part was real enough. But as for Zhong Yuhan, their acquaintance was merely the result of a favor—there was nothing else between them. As for Liu Yiyi, it was simply because he had once saved her.

Despite this, Ye Fei found himself unable to explain anything. Moreover, after finishing the first class, his attention had already shifted from this 'King of Romance' moniker; the school website had posted footage of his fight with Liu Lei and the others from the previous day.

"Zhong Yuhan wouldn't lie to me, but now that the video is in my possession, and the original has been deleted—even if she kept a copy for herself, she wouldn't leak it. Who turned this footage into a news story?" Ye Fei felt a heavy weight in his heart.

He considered calling Zhong Yuhan to ask about it, but he guessed she probably knew nothing and asking would only trouble her further, so he refrained.

Indeed, Zhong Yuhan had no idea the video had already spread across the campus website. All the student-run sites, forums, and online platforms had started broadcasting it.

In the dormitory, Zhong Yuhan was alone, sitting on her bed, eyes fixed on her computer screen, watching the video with a spark of excitement.

The video playing was the very footage of Ye Fei fighting Liu Lei and the others. She had not only copied a version for Ye Fei but kept one for herself, watching it five or six times from yesterday until today whenever no one was around.

Suddenly, a girl burst in, pushing open the dormitory door in a hurry.

Startled, Zhong Yuhan quickly closed her laptop.

"Yuhan, why are you still here? Our journalism department's video made it to the school's headlines, outshining all our competitors! Our department finally got its moment in the spotlight!" The girl was Liu Zixuan, Zhong Yuhan’s roommate and fellow journalism student.

"Zixuan, what are you talking about? Which video made the headlines?" Zhong Yuhan asked, confused.

"Have you checked the campus website today? It’s the video from yesterday—Ye Fei and Zhang Xiaoxiao, with the three suitors fighting over her!" Liu Zixuan replied.

"As soon as it was posted, the whole school started talking about Ye Fei! All the student-run entertainment and gossip sites are broadcasting it," Liu Zixuan said, brimming with excitement.

Zhong Yuhan could hardly believe it, her mind full of questions. "How could that video still exist? I deleted it thoroughly. Now, only Ye Fei and I have copies. I didn’t leak it, and Ye Fei would never spread it."

"Zixuan, didn’t we say the video was accidentally deleted yesterday? Do you know where this version came from?" Zhong Yuhan asked.

"No idea—it was sent in anonymously," Liu Zixuan replied, still cheerful. "Who cares how it got here? As long as the website is booming!"

"Alright, Zixuan, you head to the editing room. I’ll tidy up and come soon," Zhong Yuhan said, deciding to send her friend away so she could call Ye Fei and explain what had happened. She wondered how Ye Fei would take it—would he think she’d deceived him?

Once Liu Zixuan left, Zhong Yuhan immediately dialed Ye Fei’s number.

"Zhong Yuhan—she must know now and is calling to explain," Ye Fei thought as he checked his phone.

"Hello, Ye Fei," Zhong Yuhan said softly, like a child who’d made a mistake, her voice lacking confidence.

"Yuhan, you don’t need to say anything—I understand. I trust you, and I think I already know who did it," Ye Fei replied easily, not wanting to add to her burden.

Zhong Yuhan was taken aback but quickly realized Ye Fei had seen the video online. Hearing that he had a suspect, she grew curious: "Ye Fei, who did this?"

Ye Fei smiled lightly: "Cao Bing—"

"Cao Bing, senior—" Zhong Yuhan was stunned, but Ye Fei sounded so certain. Suddenly, she remembered yesterday when Cao Bing had interrupted her while she was deleting the video. She’d left first, but Cao Bing remained in the editing room for a while. Perhaps in that time, he’d copied the original, then sent it anonymously after she deleted it.

His reason for anonymity was clear—he didn’t want her to know it was him. The timing was too coincidental; he appeared just as she was about to delete the footage.

"The day you left, I saw someone following you—it was Cao Bing. I didn’t know what your relationship was, so I said nothing, but now I think maybe he was up to something," Ye Fei said.

Cao Bing following her? Zhong Yuhan could hardly believe it—after all, they were just students. Such behavior seemed far removed from their world. If not for Ye Fei, she would never have suspected it.

With these clues, both Ye Fei and Zhong Yuhan could piece together the whole story: jealousy born of love.

Zhong Yuhan was angry. She knew Cao Bing had feelings for her, but she’d always kept her distance and didn’t like him. Her feelings were for Ye Fei, so Cao Bing’s actions had naturally upset her.

"It’s done now, don’t dwell on it," Ye Fei said.

"Alright, Ye Fei, I’ll go to the editing room to see what's going on," Zhong Yuhan replied, hearing the heaviness in Ye Fei’s voice. It left her feeling unsettled.

After hanging up, she walked to the newsroom, holding back her frustration. Everyone was gathered there.

"Yuhan’s here," a male student called out.

The students in the editing room were delighted. "Yuhan, come see! Yesterday’s video made our site the most popular on campus. When we graduate, this achievement will add points to our résumé—maybe even attract famous magazines or websites to recruit us!"

It was something to be happy about, but Zhong Yuhan’s reaction took everyone by surprise. Even Cao Bing hadn’t expected it.

"Cao Bing, senior, was it you who sent the video anonymously?" Zhong Yuhan demanded angrily.

All the journalism students present were stunned. What did she mean?

"Yuhan, what’s wrong? It was sent anonymously, and our original footage was accidentally deleted," a male student said quietly.

Cao Bing forced a smile. "Yuhan, what’s the matter?"

"I deleted the original yesterday. Before deleting it, you were the only one in the editing room. No one else could have had access," Zhong Yuhan declared.

Everyone was shocked. Zhong Yuhan had deleted the original! Why?

"Yuhan, what’s wrong?" Liu Zixuan looked at her friend in surprise.

"Zixuan, I’m fine. I deleted the original," Zhong Yuhan replied, proving she hadn’t lost her mind.

"Yuhan, why did you do that? The video was the result of our hard work. You agreed to it—you were there filming with us. Why delete it?" asked a male student involved in the production.

Zhong Yuhan faced their questions calmly, ready to defend Ye Fei: "Ye Fei asked me for help—he didn’t want the video to go online. We should respect his rights and his image."

"Zhong Yuhan, I disagree. We’re in entertainment journalism—Ye Fei, as a 'campus star,' should accept this. In the entertainment world, every celebrity gets filmed, gets reported. That’s the rule. You deleting the footage without permission is actually against the law," objected a female student who’d always disliked Zhong Yuhan.

"Ye Fei is a student, not a celebrity. His privacy isn’t your entertainment fodder," Zhong Yuhan retorted, unwavering. Her natural grace made most male students reluctant to argue with her, unwilling to fall out with her—a beauty’s advantage.

The girl sneered, "Hmph, I think you’re infatuated with Ye Fei, and that’s why you’re protecting him. When we reported on other students, you never mentioned privacy or rights. Clearly, you’re defending him because you like him. Plenty of today’s reports feature intimate photos of you and Ye Fei. So much for your supposed cold aloofness."

"Enough—" Cao Bing interrupted, furious.

"Yuhan, I sent the video. When I saw Ye Fei talking to you, I knew he was up to no good. Then you slipped into the editing room after meeting him, so I watched from the shadows. Sure enough, you’d been influenced by Ye Fei and wanted to delete the footage. That video was everyone’s hard work, so I copied it," Cao Bing said.

"I was doing it for your own good! Don’t let Ye Fei fool you. Look at Zhang Xiaoxiao and Liu Yiyi—they’ve all been lured in. He just wants to toy with you," Cao Bing said.

"So it was you. My business is none of yours. We have no relationship. Forget it—what’s done is done," Zhong Yuhan replied angrily, turning and leaving the editing room.

She left behind a group of stunned students, never expecting Zhong Yuhan to defend Ye Fei so fiercely—even at the cost of falling out with her journalism peers and admitting to deleting the original.

Cao Bing’s face darkened. This was the last thing he wanted: to break with Zhong Yuhan. Had he foreseen her reaction, he would never have published the story. But now, with the rift exposed, his anger burned, blaming everything on Ye Fei. He resolved to fan the flames further, giving Ye Fei even more publicity.

As for Zhong Yuhan, if gentle persuasion didn’t work, he’d resort to other methods.
