Ye Fei was chatting with Liang Ji and the others in the cell, completely unaware that, within the course of that very day, three experts specifically targeting him had already entered the prison.

Even Liang Ji, reputed to be the prison’s king of gossip, had no idea that three men had come in.

“Brother Fei, what’s the Black Prison in here like? I’ve never seen it before!” Liang Ji asked curiously.

“The Black Prison isn’t somewhere just anyone can enter. You need to buy a ticket, and you also need someone to recommend you. Otherwise, who knows whether the person going in might be an undercover cop sent to investigate and seize the underground fights?”

“None of you have ever been there?” Ye Fei asked.

The other inmates in the cell all shook their heads. They were the most ordinary of prisoners. Forget having no chance to go in and take a look—even if they had the chance, they would never dare get involved in a place like that.

“Actually, there’s nothing particularly special about it,” Ye Fei said. “The so-called Black Prison is simply Deep Sea City’s underground boxing scene. They’ve only given it a different name.”

Liang Ji and the others gathered around to listen. Life in prison was boring, and gossip was their greatest source of entertainment.

Suddenly, the cell door opened, and a prisoner walked in. He was one of Boss Chen’s men.

“Brother Fei, someone spotted Remnant Wolf,” the man reported.

Ye Fei nodded to show that he understood. This was one of the benefits of having subdued Boss Chen: in the prison, he could learn about many things in time, including Remnant Wolf’s every move.

“Looks like the injuries I gave him that day have mostly healed. Take me there.”

Ye Fei rose to his feet. He intended to leave Remnant Wolf with a few more injuries and torment him for a while longer, then kill him before his release and avenge Little White.

The two men left the cell and headed straight for the place where Remnant Wolf had appeared.

“It’s far too quiet—quiet in a strange way. All right, you go back first,” Ye Fei said, his vigilance rising.

The subordinate left.

Ye Fei observed the area carefully. Only after confirming that there were no mechanisms or traps did he walk inside.

“Ye Fei!” Remnant Wolf glared at him with hatred, his voice filled with resentment.

“Remnant Wolf! You don’t look surprised at all. It seems you knew I would come. Or perhaps you were waiting here for me.”

Ye Fei’s voice was calm.

“Come out!” Remnant Wolf roared.

Two figures emerged from the side and took their places beside Remnant Wolf.

“Ye Fei, I’ve been ready and waiting for you to show yourself. Today, I’m going to make you wish you were dead!” Remnant Wolf said viciously.

“So you came prepared. No wonder you dared lure me out.”

Ye Fei sneered. The two men were a pair of hulking thugs who served at Boss Bao’s side.

“Take him down,” Remnant Wolf ordered.

He and the two big men charged at Ye Fei.

Ye Fei remained utterly composed. Forget the three of them—even if Boss Bao and all the others came, and all seven attacked him together, he still would not be afraid.

The two thugs put up a fairly impressive show. They had some strength and would have been formidable against ordinary fighters. But against Ye Fei…

The moment he moved, he crippled one man’s arm.

Just as Ye Fei finished off one of the thugs and was about to deal with the other, a dark shadow suddenly shot out from the side and attacked him with astonishing speed.

“I’ve been waiting for you to show yourself.”

Ye Fei sneered. Using the principle of borrowing an opponent’s strength to strike back—a technique he had learned from the old man in blue—he neutralized the shadow’s attack.

Black Soul Berserk emerged from the darkness and stared at Ye Fei.

“You knew I was here?”

“Remnant Wolf was crippled by me, and Hunter Leopard was killed by me. If Remnant Wolf were not an idiot, he wouldn’t have come out looking to be beaten when he already knew I intended to deal with him.”

Ye Fei looked at him disdainfully.

After a pause, he continued, “Do you think sending these two men out would confuse me? Unless you had a powerful trump card waiting behind them, how could they have dared come out here to die?”

“Looks like I underestimated you. You’re not as stupid as you look,” Black Soul Berserk said.

“Looks like they overestimated you, thinking you could deal with me. You’re going to die today.”

Ye Fei’s expression turned cold.

“Many people have said that to me. In the end, they were the ones who died.”

Black Soul Berserk licked his lips and retorted.

“Tell me. Who ordered you to do all this?”

Ye Fei asked.

“After you’re dead, I’ll burn paper offerings and tell you.”

Black Soul Berserk threw his head back and laughed wildly.

Ye Fei shook his head. Those who brought suffering upon themselves had only themselves to blame.

Boom! Boom! Smack!

Bang!

Puff—

Crack!

A bone snapped.

“You’re a professional fighter too?”

Black Soul Berserk shook out his arm and staggered back several steps, fixing his eyes tightly on Ye Fei.

“After you’re dead, I’ll burn paper offerings and tell you too.”

Ye Fei sneered, throwing his opponent’s own words back at him.

Black Soul Berserk realized he had misjudged Ye Fei’s strength. A trace of retreat arose in his heart. It was not that he was afraid. He simply intended to withdraw, investigate Ye Fei’s abilities in detail, and then make his move again.

“Roar!”

Black Soul Berserk let out a furious howl. His savage nature erupted, and he became like a crazed black panther.

No wonder he was called Black Soul Berserk. He was indeed both dark and ferocious.

But in the face of absolute strength, madness was useless.

Against Black Soul Berserk’s continuous barrage of punches and kicks, fired like a machine gun, Ye Fei responded with attacks that were even more violent and vicious, moving faster than his opponent and counterattacking with overwhelming force.

Bang, bang, bang—

Boom, boom, boom—

Ye Fei’s fists fell like a storm, hammering Black Soul Berserk’s head, face, and solar plexus. His feet struck in a relentless chain, every kick aimed at his opponent’s knees and lower body.

“Such savage, lightning-fast attacks… This Ye Fei must be a top-level professional fighter. Damn it, I’ve taken a terrible deal. I might even lose my life over this.”

Black Soul Berserk cursed inwardly, growing more alarmed with every exchange.

He wanted to speak and call for a truce, but Ye Fei’s attacks were too dense and too fast. He did not give his opponent even a moment to catch his breath, much less an opportunity to speak. Besides, Ye Fei had already regarded Black Soul Berserk as a dead man. Even if his opponent asked him to stop and make peace, Ye Fei would never agree.

Ye Fei’s thinking was simple. He wanted death itself to create a sense of oppression in all those who intended to oppose him—to crush them until they could barely breathe and make them feel the aura of death closing in around them.

“Ye…”

Black Soul Berserk finally found an opening to speak and hurriedly shouted.

Boom—puff!

Unfortunately, Ye Fei drove a heavy fist straight into his mouth, knocking the words back down his throat.

Black Soul Berserk’s lips split open. Nearly half his teeth shattered, and he spat out a mouthful of foul blood.

Once a single move had been lost, collapse began.

And Black Soul Berserk’s opponent was Ye Fei—a top military king who had once dominated the international battlefield before retreating into seclusion in Deep Sea City.

After gaining the advantage, Ye Fei pressed the attack. He struck his opponent in the head, sending him into a dazed state in which his ability to resist was drastically weakened.

Bang, bang, bang—

His fists flew like pounding drums.

Ye Fei struck Black Soul Berserk’s solar plexus thirteen times in succession, putting all his weight into every blow. Before anyone could say whether Black Soul Berserk’s heart could endure it, the ribs in his chest had already snapped and pierced his internal organs.

Black Soul Berserk was bleeding heavily inside.

A chokehold—

Ye Fei’s five fingers clamped around Black Soul Berserk’s neck.

Black Soul Berserk had once used that very move to subdue Big Crocodile and demonstrate his formidable skill to Xing Gang and the others. Now, Ye Fei used the same technique to break his neck.

Crack! Snap!

Ye Fei tightened his grip and twisted with force. When he released him, Black Soul Berserk’s head hung at an eerie angle, and his body collapsed to the ground.

Seeing Ye Fei kill Black Soul Berserk, Remnant Wolf and the other thug felt a chill in their hearts. They turned and tried to run.

“Too late.”

Ye Fei sneered and hurled Black Soul Berserk’s corpse at them.

Bang!

The thug was knocked to the ground. Remnant Wolf’s pupils contracted sharply as he tried even harder to flee.

Hook—

Suddenly, a foot shot out from behind and caught Remnant Wolf by surprise, tripping him and sending him sprawling face-first onto the ground.

Smack!

Ye Fei stomped down and broke Remnant Wolf’s left leg, then kicked him back toward the others.

“Remnant Wolf, I’ll let you be the last to die.”

Ye Fei’s voice was icy. Right in front of Remnant Wolf, he took the other thug’s life.

“Ye Fei, I’ll never let you get away with this!” Remnant Wolf shouted harshly.

Ye Fei smiled coldly and struck him directly in the mouth, smashing all his remaining teeth and filling his mouth with blood.

Then he tormented Remnant Wolf until the pain made him wish he were dead.

“Enjoy it slowly. Little White has been watching you all along. On the seventh day after his death, I’ll use your life to honor him.”

With that, Ye Fei abandoned Remnant Wolf and walked away without looking back.
