Chapter 128: You Are the Crippled Wolf
Ye Fei and Liang Ji were walking along the corridor when they ran into the man known as Savage Wolf, who was approaching with several of his henchmen.
Savage Wolf’s eyes burned with a cruel, bloodthirsty glint. Ye Fei did not know who he was, but sensing the predatory intent in the man’s gaze, he braced himself instinctively.
"Savage Wolf..." Liang Ji lowered his head and whispered a warning to Ye Fei.
Liang Ji was the king of gossip in the prison and knew all the local bosses. The moment he saw the hulking man, he recognized him immediately.
"He is Savage Wolf?" Ye Fei’s eyes sharpened.
"There’s no mistake," Liang Ji murmured.
Ye Fei stopped in his tracks, lifted his chin, and narrowed his eyes, a flicker of coldness flashing through his pupils. Savage Wolf also came to a halt, glaring at Ye Fei with malevolent intensity.
The inmate who had snuck out of the bathhouse earlier was standing right beside Savage Wolf. He was the one who had tipped off the gang, claiming that a newcomer was challenging their authority and had injured their associate, Steelhead.
Upon hearing this, the gang was incensed. That anyone would dare challenge their rule was an insult they could not abide. Savage Wolf had personally come to deal with the situation, as he felt that a mere newcomer like Ye Fei wasn't worth the entire group’s attention.
"Boss Wolf, this is the guy. He’s the one who beat up Steelhead in the bathhouse," the informant said, pointing at Ye Fei.
"Very good. It’s been a long time since anyone dared to challenge us. I was getting bored. This kid has finally given us something to play with," Savage Wolf sneered. "Hey, kid, what’s your name? You’ve provided us with some entertainment to kill time, so I’ll be sure to remember it."
Ye Fei’s lips curled into a faint, unreadable smile.
"Heh."
"Ye Fei! Remember that name. You will never be able to forget it for the rest of your life," Ye Fei said, his voice devoid of any emotion.
Savage Wolf clenched his fists and let out a harsh laugh. "Every arrogant newcomer says that, but in the end, they all end up getting sodomized by me. Hahaha..."
Ye Fei’s killing intent skyrocketed. The mention of that act brought the tragic fate of Xiao Bai to his mind.
It was said that when Xiao Bai died, his body was left in the bathhouse. Because it had been submerged for so long, the skin had turned pale and was covered in bruises, and the floor was stained with blood—a testament to the torture he had endured before death. He had been violated to death, his eyes left wide open, unable to find peace even in the afterlife.
*Hoo.* Ye Fei regulated his breathing. He could not kill Savage Wolf in a fit of rage; he needed to ensure the man suffered every possible agony before he died.
Other inmates passing by, seeing the standoff and sensing the impending violence, quickly scattered, fearful of becoming collateral damage.
Without further preamble, the conflict erupted.
Savage Wolf and his henchmen charged. Ye Fei had no allies other than Liang Ji, who was of no help, so he left him aside and faced the group alone.
Savage Wolf and Ye Fei exchanged a punch, the impact sending both men reeling back a step.
"You’ve got some skills," Savage Wolf said, rubbing his fist.
Ye Fei hadn't used his full strength. He intended to torment them slowly; if he showed too much power too soon and scared them into hiding, he wouldn't be able to exact his revenge. He matched Savage Wolf’s strength—enough to make him wary, but not enough to make him flee in terror.
Even so, Ye Fei’s display stunned the onlookers.
"Damn, am I seeing things? Is that Savage Wolf? And Ye Fei fought him to a draw?" one inmate whispered, rubbing his eyes in disbelief.
"You’re not seeing things. Everyone else is watching too. That kid doesn't even look as strong as Savage Wolf, yet he’s holding his own," another replied.
"It’s useless. Even if Ye Fei is as strong as him, don't forget, Savage Wolf has several other men with similar skills."
"True. I didn't think of that. Even if Ye Fei can beat Savage Wolf, it won't change anything. This prison is still their territory."
Most of the inmates were skeptical, none of them betting on Ye Fei.
The fight turned heated. Aside from Savage Wolf, the other henchmen were easily dispatched by Ye Fei. He made sure the informant suffered the same fate as Steelhead, slamming his head against the wall.
After a dozen exchanges, Ye Fei finally knocked Savage Wolf to the ground and planted a heavy boot on his back, pinning him down.
A gasp rippled through the crowd. Ye Fei had actually pinned Savage Wolf to the floor.
"You’re Savage Wolf, right?" Ye Fei asked coldly.
"I don't change my name, and I don't hide. I am your master, Savage Wolf," the man spat viciously.
Ye Fei sneered, his gaze sweeping over Savage Wolf’s body.
Savage Wolf broke into a cold sweat. *Does this guy play for the same team? Does he like men?* While Savage Wolf enjoyed violating others, he had no desire to be on the receiving end. He felt a sudden, sharp tightness in his gut.
"Your nickname doesn't seem to fit. I don't see anything 'savage' about you. Looks like I’ll have to help you out," Ye Fei mocked.
"Ye Fei, if you’ve got guts, let me up and we’ll fight one-on-one!" Savage Wolf roared.
"One-on-one? I’ve already won. Once I’ve helped you truly earn that name, you can come looking for me if you still want a fight," Ye Fei retorted. Under the stunned gazes of the crowd, he raised his foot and delivered a precise, lightning-fast kick to Savage Wolf’s groin.
Ye Fei had calculated the move perfectly—he didn't rupture the organs instantly, but he damaged them internally. From that moment on, Savage Wolf would suffer agonizing, persistent pain for days until the tissue began to rot, eventually necessitating surgical removal.
"I heard you enjoy 'sodomy,' right? I’m happy to return the favor," Ye Fei said coldly.
He produced a steel bar about three fingers thick from somewhere and, without removing the man's pants, jammed it into Savage Wolf.
A blood-curdling scream tore through the air. Every inmate watching felt a shiver of pure terror. They looked at Ye Fei with newfound dread—this newcomer was far more ruthless and cruel than Savage Wolf had ever been. They made a mental note: never cross Ye Fei, for Savage Wolf’s fate was a grim warning.
Ye Fei stepped on him a few more times, looking down with utter disdain. "Savage Wolf? Now the name actually fits. Remember, my name is Ye Fei. I told you, you’ll never forget it."
Though Savage Wolf glared at him with hateful eyes, Ye Fei couldn't have cared less. He kicked the man aside and walked away, Liang Ji trailing behind him.
