Chapter 121: Consecutive Palace Intrusions
Light Speed Fist!!
The unremarkable Light Speed Fist, capable of delivering hundreds of millions of blows, erupted with the power of Feng Zhe’s Cosmo, far exceeding the level of a Gold Saint.
Shion was forced to shout, "Crystal Wall!"
However, the Crystal Wall, which could deflect attacks, became fragile as glass before this Light Speed Fist, shattering instantly. The intense shockwave even slammed Shion into a stone pillar.
As Shion attempted to rise to continue the battle, Feng Zhe said, "The Specters and the time-travelers will be here soon. Do you really want to fight me to the death?"
Shion was stunned upon hearing this, and watched as Feng Zhe departed from the Aries Temple.
Soon, Feng Zhe arrived at the next temple, where Ox of Taurus sat enthroned.
"Are you... the Altar Saint?"
Ox was taken aback upon seeing the cloth. Feng Zhe stated his intention to meet the Pope.
After a moment of thought, Ox replied, "Even if you are the Altar Saint, you cannot enter the Pope’s Palace without an order."
Before he could finish his sentence, Ox was sent crashing into a stone pillar, staring at Feng Zhe with terror in his eyes.
"And now?"
Sensing that overwhelming Cosmo, Ox hesitated. By then, the battle at the Aries Temple had already begun.
Finally, Ox said, "Go on then."
...
Elsewhere, Shijima of Virgo discovered that his telepathic power could not reach beyond the twelve temples; a sinister Cosmo seemed to be interfering.
The wound caused by Cardinale’s Bloody Rose continued to bleed profusely. If this continued, Shijima would surely perish from exhaustion.
Yet, despite this, he mustered all his strength to project his thoughts across the entire Sanctuary, hoping someone would sense them.
At the Aries Temple, just as Shion was about to kill Shun, he suddenly felt Shijima’s telepathic plea. His expression shifted drastically.
Learning of the betrayal by the Pope and Cardinale, Shion was struck with shock.
Seeing Shun and Tenma, he urged them to go and support and protect Athena.
Sensing the approach of Hades' army, Shion remained behind to guard the Aries Temple alone.
...
Having just crossed the Taurus Temple, Feng Zhe also paused, looking up at the Pope’s Palace at the summit.
He attempted to release his own telepathic projection, only to find he could not penetrate the barrier. He sighed, "It seems there is a god’s shadow behind this interference."
He could not fathom why this god had left only Shijima and Shion unaffected.
Putting aside what he could not understand, Feng Zhe entered the Gemini Temple.
Suddenly, he found himself surrounded by shifting lights and shadows. No matter how he ran, he could not find an exit, as if he had stepped into a labyrinth.
"Same trick as Saga!"
Feng Zhe’s Cosmo flared. The intense vibration shook the very air, and the illusion of light and shadow instantly dissipated.
Before him, the Gemini Gold Cloth appeared.
Seeming to sense a grave threat, the Gemini Cloth opened its arms and conjured an "Another Dimension."
Feng Zhe offered no resistance and dove straight into it.
A moment later, he emerged from another exit, and looking back, he saw he had reached the end of the Gemini Temple.
Without hesitation, Feng Zhe proceeded to the next temple.
"Interesting, he even knows how to navigate Another Dimension!"
"The moment he appeared, the Gemini Cloth seemed to tremble. It seems this Altar Saint is no small fry."
"Things are getting more and more interesting."
The voices remained divided between righteous and evil, but Feng Zhe had no time to entertain them.
Upon reaching the Cancer Temple, he found it filled with coffins.
Walking in, he heard a clanging sound. A man with a sleazy appearance was busy crafting a coffin.
Feng Zhe smiled, knowing this was the highly popular Death Toll.
"Altar Saint, pick a coffin!"
Even knowing he was the Altar Saint, Death Toll, the Cancer Gold Saint, insisted he choose a coffin.
"Is that so?"
Feng Zhe waved his hand, and countless souls of the dead (Praesepe) swirled around him, hovering in his palm like toys.
Death Toll was visibly shocked. He dropped his hammer and pointed at him, asking in disbelief, "You... how do you know how to command the Praesepe?"
Feng Zhe laughed, "It’s a funny thing, I have a certain affinity with Cancer. It’s no surprise I know a bit of Praesepe."
With a flick, Feng Zhe pulled Death Toll’s soul directly out of his physical body, leaving the Saint in a panic.
When he finally returned to his body, he immediately put on a fawning expression.
"My deepest apologies, Great Altar Saint! It is an honor to have you grace us with your presence!"
Feng Zhe smiled, unbothered. "I need to see the current Pope. May I pass?"
"Pass? Of course, you may pass."
And so, amidst Death Toll’s respectful and fawning attitude, he was safely escorted out of the Cancer Temple.
...
Elsewhere, Suikyo, now a Specter, had not only defeated Shion of Aries but had also riddled Ox of Taurus with holes using his "Ice Spear White Lotus."
Tenma and Shun had also reached the Gemini Temple and were currently engaged in battle with the dual-natured Gemini Saint.
Watching all this, Feng Zhe quickened his pace.
Soon, he arrived at the next temple: Leo.
Standing guard was Kaiser, the Leo Gold Saint who possessed the heart of a lion, accompanied by his lion, Goldie.
Goldie growled a warning at Feng Zhe.
Feng Zhe merely glared at the beast, causing Goldie to cower behind Kaiser in fear.
Kaiser was surprised, his expression shifting to one of astonishment upon seeing the Altar Saint’s cloth.
"I must see the Pope!"
"The Sanctuary has issued an order: no one is to enter the Pope’s Palace, not even the Altar Saint!"
Feng Zhe stretched his arms. "Then I’m afraid I have no choice."
"Galaxian Explosion!!"
Feng Zhe unleashed the ultimate technique of the Gemini Saint right from the start. Stars fell, and a massive explosion tore through half of the Leo Temple.
The blast was felt even by Cain, the Gemini Saint, who was entangled with Tenma and Shun.
"He can actually use the Gemini Saint's ultimate technique?!"
Suddenly, the Gemini persona shifted, and Abel appeared on the other side, saying, "Could he be the next generation of Gemini?"
"Impossible! How could an Altar Saint possess the technique of Gemini?!"
Both Abel and Cain were shocked, not knowing how to react.
Only Shun murmured, looking into the distance, "Altar Saint? Could it be him?"
Tenma, at a loss, grabbed Shun and dashed toward the next temple.
...
After the dust settled, an enraged Kaiser sought the Altar Saint, only to find he had already vanished, having raced out of the Leo Temple.
"Damn it! He got away!"
Kaiser seethed with frustration, but he knew he had to conserve his strength for the challengers coming from below.
He could only let out a frustrated snort, while Goldie the lion let out a soft howl.
...
Just as Feng Zhe entered the Virgo Temple, Shijima, who was still trapped in the Pope's Palace, sensed the intruder.
"Altar Saint?!"
Even Shijima was stunned by the appearance of the Altar Saint. There had been too many shocks today: first the arrival of Athena in the form of an infant, then the betrayal of the Pope and the Pisces Gold Saint, and now, the Altar Saint himself.
"Shijima! I am Arles of the Altar! I must see the Pope. Let me pass; I have urgent matters to discuss with him!"
"Arles of the Altar?"
Shijima did not recognize the name Arles, but the infant Athena opened her eyes upon hearing it.
