Chapter 105: Ambiguous Space
Chapter 105: Ambiguous Space
Wu Songran was helped to his feet by Wu Hong, his arms naturally wrapping around Wu Hong’s muscular waist. Their bodies pressed closely together, large swaths of skin touching, and their chests—two magnificent human treasures—were slightly distorted from the intimate embrace.
Feeling the firmness at his lower abdomen, Wu Songran’s face flushed deeply, unwilling to move an inch.
Wu Hong’s arms hovered awkwardly in the air, uncertain where to place them.
“Hehe, brother, considering your former reputation as an ostentatious aristocrat, endlessly flirtatious, how come you’re so restrained today?” Wu Songran giggled, her voice sultry as it whispered into Wu Hong’s ear. She had been nervous herself, but seeing Wu Hong tremble slightly, his body reacting strongly yet his demeanor so tense, she couldn’t help but laugh softly.
Wu Hong felt a dry heat in his throat, silently overwhelmed. Suddenly, he grasped Wu Songran’s slender legs. Startled, she gasped before her body went limp.
Wu Hong had made up his mind. Since this had already happened, there was no turning back. He gently lifted Wu Songran onto his bed.
Once again, they began their passionate union. It was only then that Wu Hong noticed the Dainichi Nyorai Sutra had somehow appeared silently above them, its pages flipping open to the words “Serene Radiance of Joy” glowing repeatedly.
A wild surge of energy exploded within Wu Hong’s body. At last, he understood the meaning behind those words. No wonder whenever “Serene Radiance of Joy” flashed before, his heart was unsettled.
He recalled how those words would glow whenever he met Wu Tenglan, Zhou Ling’er, or Li Ruolan.
“Could it be…” Wu Hong’s thoughts raced as his movements grew wilder, drawing continuous soft cries from Wu Songran.
He sensed a cool energy flowing from Wu Songran into himself, cleansing the restless spirit that had plagued him recently.
Astonished, he realized this intimate exchange was in fact a supreme cultivation technique.
“Ah—this Dainichi Nyorai Sutra is truly strange, like a demonic art yet imbued with sacred energy… I just can’t figure it out!” he muttered.
As dusk settled, Lady Li visited three times before their lovemaking finally ceased.
For this period, Wu Hong and Wu Songran felt as if they had ascended to paradise, a heaven where only the two of them existed—a god newly creating a man and a woman to live free and unburdened by cares, surrounded by endless bliss.
They sat entwined, bodies connected unwilling to part, yet neither spoke, not wishing to shatter the harmonious atmosphere.
After a while, Wu Songran asked softly, “Hong-ge, do you love me?”
Wu Hong’s heart suddenly unburdened. No longer did he see Wu Songran as a sister, but as his woman. Hearing her question, he answered without hesitation, “If I didn’t love you, would I do this with you?”
There was a teasing tone in his voice.
Wu Songran’s face flushed crimson, feigning anger. “You’re so bad! Why did I ever fall for you, a man who’s naturally so ostentatious?”
Though she spoke so, Wu Hong tightened his arms around her, gripping so fiercely he was nearly breathless, as if afraid to lose her.
He caressed her delicate shoulder. “Ran-mei, we should get going now. Don’t want Third Lady to worry.”
“Hmph, you say that, yet it was you who… well…” Wu Songran blushed fiercely, unable to finish her sentence.
Wu Hong felt awkward. Having spent the whole day together in this private space, they now faced a dilemma.
Their clothes were completely torn, leaving them without anything to cover themselves.
Suddenly Wu Hong noticed the ring on his middle finger and was startled. “Huh—how did this ring come back?”
Only then did he realize the presence of the Universe Ring on his hand. Without hesitation, a smile crossed his face as he sent a spark of consciousness into the ring.
Suddenly, a sharp consciousness returned, and Wu Hong’s expression darkened.
“Hong-ge, what’s wrong?” Wu Songran asked anxiously, like a young wife worried about her husband’s every move.
“Oh, nothing. Now we have clothes to wear! Hehe!” Wu Hong said, keeping the reason to himself but teasingly producing two sets of clothing in his hands.
“You bad man! You had clothes all along and didn’t bring them out, still acting like that with me…” Wu Songran lowered her head in a blush, snatching a man’s garment and giggling as a memory surfaced.
That day, in the miniature world of the Heavenly Book, they fell from great height, their clothes torn, and they had to wear broad leaves—an embarrassing scene that lingered in her mind.
Quickly, they dressed and Wu Hong dispelled the sealing energy. Together, they stepped out of the room.
Wu Songran linked her arms with Wu Hong’s.
“Ran-mei, don’t you think this looks a bit improper?” Wu Hong said, half amused, half exasperated.
“Oh! My grand aristocrat, now you’re shy? Just a moment ago you were…” Wu Songran began, only to have her mouth covered by Wu Hong’s large hand.
“Enough, little madam. I’m resigned! Let’s just leave it be. After all, to outsiders, I’m your brother. No one will think twice,” he said.
They walked through a vast garden, past a cluster of buildings, arriving at the bamboo grove and small lake where Lady Li resided.
Inside the hall, Lady Li could not stop worrying about Wu Hong and Li Ruolan, who were speaking privately. Li Ruolan’s face flushed at times, evidently recounting Wu Hong’s past experiences.
A grand table stood in the center, laden with rare delicacies—all exquisite but now slightly cooled. Around it, dozens of servants stood at attention.
Truly, a royal mansion’s ordinary meal was an extravagant affair.
“Mother, have you eaten? You’ve been waiting for us!” Wu Songran said intimately, looping her arm through Wu Hong’s as they entered the living room.
Wu Hong flushed slightly, reluctant to withdraw his arm, but dozens of eyes—servants, Lady Li, Li Yunda—were fixed upon them, making him uneasy.
In truth, the roles should have been reversed. Wu Songran should have been the one acting so openly, but since freeing the knots in her heart, she had become carefree and radiant.
Once, suitors clamored for Wu Songran’s affection. She would express her feelings to those she liked, only to discover they were interested solely in her family’s power and wealth. Disappointed, she withdrew.
Only upon truly understanding Wu Hong—a flamboyant figure unnoticed for over a decade—did she find herself drawn to him without realizing it. She adored him deeply, yearning to confess her love.
Yet the more she cared, the less she dared speak openly in his presence, bottling up her feelings until that morning, when their seemingly foolish actions unlocked the barriers between them.
He had always regarded her as a sister. Learning they were not blood-related had not changed that feeling.
But now, Wu Hong felt a sense of responsibility settle on his shoulders, unable to see the petite, passionate woman beside him as anything but his own.
“What are you all standing around for? Get out of here!” Wu Songran snapped at the servants who kept glancing at them.
The servants dared not disobey.
Only Lady Li frowned slightly. Usually, Wu Hong treated the servants kindly, never commanding them so abruptly.
Yet she said nothing.
