Chapter Nineteen: The Present Capture
Page 1/3
Unlike the gentle demeanor from two days ago, Jun Lengche now wore a serious expression, dark and brooding as if a storm were brewing. Upon seeing Tong Zhenzhen, he strode over swiftly.
Standing before her, Jun Lengche raised his phone, pointing at the video playing on the screen, and asked sternly, “Did you make this?”
Tong Zhenzhen glanced at it briefly and nodded. She found it odd—she had only posted it on her social media that afternoon. How did he get it so quickly?
The video was a cartoon depiction of the unfair treatment she had suffered at the Jun family.
Wasn’t the Jun family arrogant and haughty? Tong Zhenzhen intended to expose their hypocrisy.
Her confirmation of the accusations had only validated Mrs. Jun’s complaints.
Earlier, Mrs. Jun had come to the hospital looking for Jun Lengche, who had just finished several surgeries.
In his office, Mrs. Jun trembled with anger, clutching her chest as she bitterly accused, “That Tong girl is shamelessly degrading people like this? If Chu Chu hadn’t just told us, your grandmother would have been publicly humiliated! Look at the comments below!”
Jun Lengche took Mrs. Jun’s iPad, saw the video on Tong Zhenzhen’s page, and the flood of comments—all overwhelmingly condemning the Jun family for abusing their power, some harshly so.
Given Mrs. Jun’s pride in her family’s honor, her fury was understandable.
That was why Jun Lengche came to confront Tong Zhenzhen.
“Delete it!” he ordered, pointing at the video, his deep eyes flashing coldly.
The joy she had felt two days ago upon seeing him vanished instantly. Tong Zhenzhen’s temper flared. “Why should I?! These are facts!”
Jun Lengche’s features hardened in response to her firm refusal. This little girl needed to be taught a lesson.
Sensing danger, Tong Zhenzhen quickly tried to slip past him, but her right arm was seized, and she was trapped in a firm embrace.
She bowed her head, trying to create some space, and took deep breaths as the rich scent of masculinity filled her chest. “Beast, let me go!” Though her body was restrained, she could still protest verbally.
“You’re really noisy,” Jun Lengche muttered, expertly capturing those two warm lips with his own, as if rehearsed countless times. His long tongue slipped in, gently parting her pearly teeth, deftly catching her small agile tongue and sucking it.
Tong Zhenzhen blushed with a mix of anger and embarrassment. What was this scoundrel trying to do? This was a public place!
Their intimate entanglement gradually loosened Jun Lengche’s grip, allowing her hands to move.

Seizing the moment, Tong Zhenzhen planted both hands on his waist, arched her back, and with lightning speed, struck upward sharply with her right knee.
“Ugh,” Jun Lengche groaned, stepping back.
Tong Zhenzhen dashed out, calling 110 as she ran.
Luck was indeed on her side. As she hurried out of the lobby, she encountered the community security guard who blocked Jun Lengche’s pursuit. The police response was impressively swift.
An hour later, after giving her statement, Tong Zhenzhen left the station alone. She knew Jun Lengche wouldn’t be detained long, but at least she had vented some anger.
However, just as her luck ran out, misfortune followed closely behind. Downstairs, she ran into Long Tianyu.
“Zhen’er, you’re getting naughtier—sending your boyfriend to the police station,” Long Tianyu emerged from the shadows.
Before Tong Zhenzhen could lose her temper, his tone shifted into feigned tenderness. “Zhen’er, he’s not right for you. Let me love you instead~”
A chill ran down Tong Zhenzhen’s spine. No matter how detestable Jun Lengche was, Long Tianyu made her skin crawl even more.
“Dream on!” she retorted coldly, lifting her chin. She wasn’t foolish enough to fall into the same trap twice.
Without waiting for a response, she bypassed him and headed for the elevator.
“Zhen’er, why are you back? Is it for revenge?” To her surprise, Long Tianyu stubbornly followed, asking, “Was getting close to Jun Lengche deliberate too?”
Tong Zhenzhen pressed her lips shut and ignored him.
“I can help you. You don’t have to sacrifice yourself.” Seeing she remained silent, Long Tianyu grabbed her hand, pulling her into his embrace, attempting to kiss her forcibly.
“Tong Zhenzhen, you seductress~” A sharp female voice suddenly rang out, startling Tong Zhenzhen.
Long Tianyu paused upon hearing the scolding.
Taking the opportunity, Tong Zhenzhen kicked him hard and ran aside.
She then saw Long Tianyu’s wife—Michelle, heiress to Shenghai Group, a famous TV host, her twisted beautiful face storming toward them.
Four years had passed since their last encounter, but Tong Zhenzhen still vividly remembered the humiliation and harm Michelle had inflicted.

“Michelle, you’re crazy—a shrew!” Long Tianyu’s face darkened as he hurried forward to block his wife.
Tong Zhenzhen took a moment to appraise Michelle: a white Chanel suit, a pink Hermès Birkin bag, a Cartier watch, and impeccable makeup—truly the epitome of a high-society lady.
“Seductress? Are you complimenting my enchanting beauty, Mrs. Long?” Tong Zhenzhen crossed her arms, casting a sidelong glance. After all these years, she was no longer the one who took abuse silently.
Though blocked by Long Tianyu, Michelle stretched out her arm, itching to claw at Tong Zhenzhen’s face. “Pfft! Slut, shameless!”
Tong Zhenzhen raised an eyebrow. “You’ve got it wrong. The shameless one is your husband. He’s the one who persistently harasses me. You should keep him in check instead of letting him come out and bother people!”
Just then, the elevator doors opened. Tong Zhenzhen stepped inside, ignoring Long Tianyu struggling to pull his wife away.
In this world, rumors spread hundreds of times faster than light. Tong Zhenzhen hadn’t expected to be targeted so soon.
The next day at work, she noticed people whispering and pointing at her.
During work, people from other departments would walk past her desk, glance around, then leave with satisfied, excited expressions.
At lunch, her female colleagues found excuses to sit elsewhere, speaking in hushed tones, clearly discussing her.
Instinct told Tong Zhenzhen they were gossiping about her, their furtive glances and gleaming eyes betraying their delight.
What had happened? How had she become a celebrity overnight?
Finally, the female director sat down opposite her, carrying a tray.
Instead of eating, the director studied her intently.
Unable to contain her curiosity, Tong Zhenzhen asked, “Director, why are you looking at me like that?”
“Xiao Tong, did you watch this morning’s local news?” the director asked gravely.
