Tong Zhenzhen bit her lip in pain.

That despicable Jun Lengche, not only heartless but also scheming and lacking any grace, had actually thrown himself to the ground. Was this some kind of revenge for being bitten? Tong Zhenzhen was so hurt she couldn’t speak, but she fixed him with a fierce glare.

If looks could kill, she would have torn him to pieces long ago!

Jun Lengche acted as if nothing had happened and said calmly, “As you wish.”

Tong Zhenzhen nearly choked and exploded, “Go to hell!”

Hearing her wish, Jun Lengche raised an eyebrow and shook his head.

That bastard really was a man of contradictions! Tong Zhenzhen tried to get up but failed.

The instigator, Jun Lengche, reached out his hand, but Tong Zhenzhen swung it away.

Even if she died, she wouldn’t accept a single bit of help from him, especially when she was just too sore to stand.

“Zhenzhen, are you okay?” At that moment, Qin Xiangyang broke free from Headmaster Jun’s hold and rushed over to help Tong Zhenzhen up.

“I’m fine.” Though the pain was excruciating, Tong Zhenzhen stubbornly insisted, knowing that showing any weakness in front of an opponent would give them an opening to defeat her.

Her resilience stirred something in Jun Lengche’s heart, even making him somewhat regret his earlier actions. He wasn’t usually petty. Could it be because she resisted him so fiercely?

“Zhenzhen, let me see you off.” Qin Xiangyang now looked like a knight protecting her. With knitted brows full of concern, he supported her and headed toward the door.

“I can walk by myself.” Tong Zhenzhen bared her teeth and tried to push Qin Xiangyang’s hand away. She didn’t want Jun Lengche to have the satisfaction. It was only a fall, after all.

Seeing through her stubbornness, Qin Xiangyang’s concern deepened. He tightened his grip on her arm and whispered, “You don’t have to be strong in front of me.”

Hearing such intimate words softened Tong Zhenzhen’s heart. He still remembered their days as deskmates.

“Xiangyang… what are you doing?”

Just as Tong Zhenzhen and Qin Xiangyang reached the doorway, a woman walked in, her face full of surprise.

Qin Xiangyang hesitated for a moment. “Ah, this is Wen Xin. She’s my… old classmate. I’m just seeing her off.”

“Old classmate?” The woman arched her delicate brows, unable to hide her suspicion as she glanced up and down at Tong Zhenzhen.

“Daddy—hug me!” Suddenly, a little chubby boy ran out from behind the woman, calling to Qin Xiangyang in a babyish voice. He stood right in front of Qin Xiangyang, stretching out his round little arms and looking up with big, bright eyes.

What an adorable child! Tong Zhenzhen admired him inwardly, wishing she could pinch the plump cheeks.

Hearing the boy’s plea, Qin Xiangyang momentarily froze before releasing Tong Zhenzhen’s arm, squatting down to pick him up.

The little boy hooked his arms around Qin Xiangyang’s neck, happily pressing his round face to him. “Daddy, daddy.”

So Qin Xiangyang even had a child. Tong Zhenzhen realized that the woman with the willow-shaped brows must be his wife.

“Hello, Wen Xin. I’m Tong Zhenzhen.” Tong Zhenzhen extended her hand gracefully toward Qin Xiangyang’s wife.

Wen Xin didn’t reciprocate the gesture. Instead, she stood on Qin Xiangyang’s other side and looked at Tong Zhenzhen coolly.

Sensing Wen Xin’s hostility, Tong Zhenzhen’s hand froze awkwardly in the air.

“Wen Xin…” Qin Xiangyang was about to speak but was met with a sharp glare.

Tong Zhenzhen took note and thought it best to leave. It seemed Qin Xiangyang’s wife misunderstood her. After several times of Qin Xiangyang’s assistance, Tong Zhenzhen had already removed him from her revenge list.

“Qin Xiangyang, let’s find a time. I’d like to invite you and your family to dinner. I’ll take my leave now.” Tong Zhenzhen smiled and waved at the curious little boy watching her.

“Xiangyang, I just finished talking with Grandpa. I’ll escort my girlfriend myself.” Jun Lengche unexpectedly approached and linked arms with Tong Zhenzhen.

Tong Zhenzhen wanted to pull away, but seeing Wen Xin discreetly relax, she thought it best to avoid any misunderstandings about Qin Xiangyang. She nodded in cooperation. “Thanks, Xiangyang. I’m going with A’Che.”

Arm in arm, Jun Lengche and Tong Zhenzhen walked out the gate.

Playing the part fully, Tong Zhenzhen got into Jun Lengche’s car, smiling as she waved at Qin Xiangyang’s family still standing at the door.

“Quite the actress,” Jun Lengche teased, his voice reaching her ears. Before she could retort, he leaned in close.

“What? What are you doing?” Tong Zhenzhen stiffened instantly.

Jun Lengche glanced at her, “Fastening your seatbelt.”

Relaxing at last, Tong Zhenzhen hurriedly pushed him away and buckled her own seatbelt. “No need, I can do it myself.”

“We’re lovers now,” Jun Lengche said tenderly, brushing a strand of her hair. The corners of his lips lifted into a subtle smile, faint dimples appearing.

In the confined space of the car, their closeness was unmistakable.

His smile was like spring thawing snow—heart-stirring.

Tong Zhenzhen froze, shyly covering her chest with her hand to hide her pounding heart.

“Oh dear, Tong Zhenzhen, what nonsense are you thinking?” she scolded herself silently, yet couldn’t help admiring his handsome features.

Lost in thought, Tong Zhenzhen parted her luscious lips slightly, her crystal-clear eyes wide open, long lashes fluttering—an equally captivating sight.

The silent space brimmed with an unspoken, tender tension.

Jun Lengche turned toward her and gently captured her lips, like a bee discovering the finest honey, softly sucking.

Tong Zhenzhen’s face flushed instantly. She tried to push him away but was drawn closer, his hand curling around her neck. The gentle breeze quickly turned into a storm. She was enveloped entirely by his breath.

The fierce, stormy kiss overwhelmed her reason. From initial resistance, she gradually succumbed to the pleasure. When his lips finally parted, she sighed softly and lingeringly, as if yearning for more.

Ah, I’ve lost my mind! Coming to her senses, Tong Zhenzhen caught Jun Lengche’s smiling eyes and blurted, “Y-you, you pervert! Drive!”

The rosy flush on her cheeks made her seem charmingly bashful.

Jun Lengche noticed and chuckled softly, “Alright, sit properly.”

Feeling her burning cheeks, Tong Zhenzhen dared not look at him, focusing instead on the road ahead. She saw Wen Xin pursing her lips in a smile, while Qin Xiangyang stared blankly at her, his expression oddly conflicted.

Then the car started, quickly leaving the Jun family estate behind.
