Chapter 59: The Bored Duo
On his way to the conference room, Lin Moliang received a call from Zhao Ziquan. "Ziquan?"
"Ahem, Moliang, busy?" Suddenly, he didn't know how to ask. Damn it, that cunning fox made him play vanguard.
Stopping in his tracks, Lin Moliang waved his hand to signal his executive assistant to go ahead, while he stayed in place and continued the call. "Extremely busy!"
"Ah, oh, hehe. You're busy, you're busy!" Come to think of it, how could Moliang possibly have the leisure to care about a traffic accident? He had fallen for that stinky fox's trick again.
"Something the matter?"
"Ha, ha, no, no!" He resolutely refused to speak.
Seeing him stammering, Zhu Yansheng reached out and snatched the phone away, asking with a roguish smirk, "Young Master Lin, I miss you terribly!"
"Thank you for your concern, Young Master Zhu. I'm hanging up!" Every time he ran into this guy, nothing good ever came of it; he was full of bad intentions.
"Don't, don't! They say a single day apart is like three autumns, how can you be so heartless!" He hadn't gotten the answer yet, so he certainly wouldn't give up halfway.
"Speak quickly if you have something to say, ha~"
"Spit it out if you have something to say, I know, Moliang!"
Hearing this, the corner of Lin Moliang's mouth twitched involuntarily. As the dignified heir to the Zhu Group, he spoke with such vulgarity that Lin couldn't help but wonder how the outside world had formed such a high opinion of him. The "Jade-Faced Fox"—he wondered how they ever came up with that.
"Talk!" Closing his eyes, he said through gritted teeth.
"I heard something interesting happened outside your front door. Come on, tell us so we can have a laugh!" Zhu Yansheng leaned back comfortably in his chair, irritating Zhao Ziquan, who was driving beside him. He had dragged him out bright and early, only to make a wasted trip and now act as a free chauffeur—it was simply outrageous.
"Chen Jing just left Blues." Skipping Zhu's question, Lin Moliang dropped a much more interesting topic.
"Really?"
"Really!"
"Bingo, and was he with a little beauty?"
"Well, I have a meeting to attend. We'll chat another day." He efficiently hung up the phone without waiting for the other side to react.
"You, you, you..." Staring pleadingly at the phone screen which displayed the call ended, he turned his head to look at Zhao Ziquan. "You dunderhead, I've been wounded!"
"Oh." Splendid. It was rare to see him get deflated.
"You're so cold-hearted!" He pressed a hand against his chest. "It's freezing cold in here!"
"Huh?" Driving the car, Zhao Ziquan responded with a distracted grunt.
"Chen Jing went to Blues!"
"He went to Blues!" The news was so shocking that the car swerved slightly. "What did he go there for?" Chen Jing rarely appeared in public places, let alone in broad daylight.
"I don't know!"
"Alone?"
"I don't know!"
"Then what *do* you know?"
Shrugging, spreading his hands, and shaking his head, he replied, "I know nothing at all!"
"Tsk~"
"That's why I said I'm wounded!" He muttered resentfully. "That bad boy Moliang only said half the story and just hung up. My poor heart!"
"Oh, give it a break. Don't go pulling out that heart of yours to scare people!" Zhao Ziquan certainly didn't buy his act; the guy was probably plotting something right now.
"Hehe, trying to keep me in suspense? Not a chance!" Picking up his phone again, he rapidly punched in a number.
"Don't use my phone, yours is right there!" Zhao Ziquan motioned with a finger while keeping his eyes on the road.
"Oh dear, why distinguish between yours and mine? It's ringing!" He immediately made a gesture for quiet, composed his expression, and said, "Chen Jing!"
"Hmm?" Xie Chen Jing turned on his Bluetooth earpiece and answered softly.
"Have you eaten?"
"Eaten."
"Are you alone?"
"No."
"Ah, let's get together another day!" Zhu Yansheng pressed the hang-up button, a sparkling light of excitement dancing in his eyes. "Dunderhead, we won't be bored anymore from now on."
