Chapter 61: I Can Be Even More Shameless
Footsteps suddenly echoed from outside the door, draining the color from Tong Xiaoman's face and rendering her entire body rigid. Someone was coming.
It was all because of this beast. Nothing good ever happened whenever she ran into him.
"Shh, don't worry, it's not the Dragon Shadow Gang," he raised his head and murmured gently into her ear.
She soon realized he was right; it was just a customer coming to use the restroom.
Peeking through the crack of the door, she saw a man with his back toward them, unzipping his pants and preparing to relieve himself...
She wasn't trying to peek; she was just curious.
Before she could get a clear look, however, a large palm immediately covered her eyes. The sound of trickling water reached her ears, and shortly after, the man finished, washed his hands, and left.
Silence returned to the restroom once more.
Someone's gnashing voice immediately sounded beside her ear: "You are not allowed to stare at other men. If you want to look, look at me."
A thunderous shock wave rolled through her mind, leaving Tong Xiaoman utterly scorched inside and out by his words.
She pulled down his wrist, wanting to curse loudly, but fearing she would attract attention, she could only lower her voice into a growl: "Pervert. Who would want to look at you?"
Nalan Che nibbled on her earlobe, blowing breath against it in an ambiguous and provocative manner: "I haven't had you yet. How am I a pervert?"
Tong Xiaoman felt a wave of heat rush straight to her head, her body tingling and aching so much she could barely stand. Exactly who had seduced whom here? She had been the victim all along, hadn't she?
She glared fiercely at him: "You have no shame."
"Is that so? I can be even more shameless." He smiled wickedly, suddenly pressing his body hard against hers.
Tong Xiaoman drew in a sharp breath of cold air, feeling her body grow limp all over. Her hands could only grip his arms tightly. This was far too thrilling.
She hurriedly composed herself, truly terrified that he might actually have his way with her right here, and quickly changed the subject. "What are you doing here?"
His hand slowly moved to her cheek, gently caressing it while a wicked smile curved his lips: "I couldn't bear to be apart from you. I missed you, so I came."
Tong Xiaoman gritted her teeth, struggling to remain calm: "Don't feed me that nonsense." Did he really think she was a three-year-old child, so easily coaxed by him?
The smile vanished from Nalan Che's lips as he pressed down upon her and said in a low voice: "I'm here on official business."
Tong Xiaoman looked at him in surprise: "Official business? You're not a police officer. What kind of business could you possibly have?"
"Classified." Nalan Che was concise, stopping her words with just a single word.
"Tch, big deal," Tong Xiaoman curled her lip in disbelief. Her mind quickly searched and cross-referenced his profile. He was the CEO of the Disha Corporation, involved in military and political affairs. Of course, it was a time of peace now, so there was no need to go to war. Therefore, their primary mission was—four words suddenly flashed through her mind: counter-terrorism organization.
She looked up at him in shock and blurted out, "Could the Dragon Shadow Gang be connected to a terrorist organization?"
She had originally thought the Dragon Shadow Gang was just a simple underworld syndicate. She never expected them to be linked to terrorists as well. This matter had truly, truly become complicated.
Now, they all believed she was the murderer who killed their boss, and they were hunting her down like madmen.
The warmth seemed to drain entirely from her body in an instant, as if she had plummeted into an ice cave.
Feeling her body tremble, Nalan Che's heart twitched. He held her tight and comforted her, "Don't worry, I will take care of this."
"How are you going to take care of it? The people from the Dragon Shadow Gang think I killed their boss. The moment I step outside, I'll instantly be turned into a beehive." She simply could not stay calm.
