Zhao Yi was instantly infuriated, exploding in a rage: "If you lose this handsome guy's middle finger, you'll lose out on so much pleasure!"

Tong Xiaoman, who had been biting his finger with all her might, underwent a dramatic change in expression upon hearing this. She quickly released his finger, spat it out, and dashed into the bathroom in a state of horror, where she began to rinse her mouth over and over again.

How could she have forgotten that her cousin was a wild, uninhibited libertine who indulged in every pleasure and played both sides of the field? The thought that this very finger might have been involved in countless lewd acts made her stomach churn.

It was like a bolt from the blue... Her mouth had been contaminated by his finger.

But what truly horrified her was that her cousin was genuinely formidable; even Director Qin had not been able to escape his clutches. It was a complete waste of such a promising, talented young man.

Qin Ran was the youngest Director in Jinse City. From a man's perspective, he wasn't particularly tall—only about 170 centimeters—but he possessed a handsome face that captivated both men and women alike. Distinguished and exceptionally talented, he came from a prestigious family of high-ranking officials and carried an innate, refined aristocratic aura. He was unique; it was said he had been blind in one eye since childhood and wore an eyepatch that he never removed. Yet, the eyepatch did not diminish his charm; instead, it added a fatal sense of mystery, revealing a subtle, wicked edge. This captivating, ambiguous aura—part righteous and part sinister—made not only women flock to him but even men find him irresistible.

Tong Xiaoman rinsed her mouth dozens of times, wishing she could disinfect the inside and outside of her mouth completely.

When she emerged, Zhao Yi was cradling his injured finger, staring daggers at Director Qin with a resentful look in his eyes.

Seeing her come out, Qin Ran immediately replaced his indifferent expression with his trademark gentle smile.

"Miss Tong, there was a murder at the hotel last night. I hope you weren't too frightened?"

"Not at all." How could such a small matter scare her? Tong Xiaoman shook her head immediately and sat down on the sofa with a quiet, refined air. "Brother Qin, since you and my good-for-nothing cousin are such good friends, you should just call me Xiaoman. Calling me 'Miss' is so formal, isn't it, Cousin?"

She always put on a refined, ladylike act whenever she saw a handsome man.

Zhao Yi grumbled to himself, glaring at her fiercely. She had bitten his perfect finger until it was swollen; if it had been anyone else, he would have ground them to dust by now.

"Since you're fine, I have to head over to the next room. Goodbye!" Qin Ran nodded at her, not even glancing at Zhao Yi, and turned to leave.

This left Zhao Yi pounding his chest in frustration. He actually dared to ignore him! The hatred was real.

"Tsk tsk, truly young and promising, handsome and gentle, with boundless charm," Tong Xiaoman sighed in admiration as she watched his back.

"Of course. Don't forget who he belongs to," Zhao Yi boasted immediately.

Tong Xiaoman shot him a look of pure contempt: "A fresh flower planted in a pile of cow dung."

Zhao Yi was even more incensed: "I'm your cousin, at least, can't you show a little bit of decency?"

Tong Xiaoman's contempt deepened: "I'm just stating the truth."

"You..." Zhao Yi was so angry he wanted to thrust his finger at her again, but remembering the pain from before, he quickly pulled it back and said helplessly, "Fine, hurry up and pack your things. We're going home; you can't be late for your birthday party tonight."

Tong Xiaoman refused without a second thought: "No, I'm not moving."

Zhao Yi exploded in fury again: "Why not? Is living at my place worse than this? Or are you still thinking about that man from yesterday? Tell me, who exactly was he?"
