He stared down at her eyes, which she refused to open, and leaned in to whisper slowly into her ear, "You are the only woman I have ever kissed in my life."

"What?" Tong Xiaoman’s head buzzed with a deafening roar. Her immediate reaction was, "You’re lying. That’s impossible."

He was the most powerful CEO of the Di Sha Group; what kind of woman could he possibly not have?

"I am not lying to you." Whether she believed it or not, she was the first woman he had ever kissed.

Tong Xiaoman swallowed hard, unable to fathom it. "Even if that’s true, what does it prove?"

He let out a low chuckle, his tone suddenly firm and resolute: "It means I am going to marry you."

A bolt from the blue—countless streaks of lightning seemed to flash across Tong Xiaoman’s mind, leaving her utterly stunned and scorched.

She snapped her eyes open. Her entire field of vision was filled with his overbearing, audacious, and handsome face; she could see nothing else, nor could she hear any other sound.

The world seemed to fall into a sudden, profound silence, leaving only the two of them in the vast expanse.

It was a long time before she found her own fractured voice. "You’re crazy. We don’t even know each other."

"I am not crazy. I am perfectly sober." His palm gripped her waist firmly, the heat in his eyes seemingly capable of incinerating her.

"You’re still saying that! We’ve only known each other for a day, and you’re already talking about marriage... Let me go! I don’t want to marry you!"

If he hadn't caught her wrists, she would have slapped him across the face.

He lowered his head, bringing his face close to her pale features, and enunciated every word: "We have known each other for a very long time."

Tong Xiaoman’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at his earnest expression. "You’re talking nonsense! Before this, I had never even seen you."

"One day, you will understand." He said this somewhat vaguely, then suddenly leaned down, capturing her cold, pale, and trembling lips.

"Mmph..." Tong Xiaoman’s eyes went wide. Within her gaze, there was nothing but his handsome face. She forgot how to breathe; she forgot where she was.

It was not until her stomach let out another rumble that she jolted awake, as if from a dream, and pushed him away with all her might.

What a pity; he hadn't finished kissing her yet. Nalan Che licked his sensual lips, his burning gaze locked firmly onto her panting face.

Tong Xiaoman’s face was as red as a ripe apple. Watching him lick his lips and sensing the ambiguous aura he inadvertently exuded made her heart flutter uncontrollably.

Damn it all. He was clearly bullying her, yet she found him incredibly sexy—so sexy that it felt as if an invisible cat were clawing at her heart, making her want to pounce on him.

Horrified to find herself harboring such indecent thoughts, she instinctively turned away.

As the night wind swept by, it stirred up layers of waves that crashed with a roaring sound. Before her eyes lay an endless expanse, like a ferocious beast baring its fangs and howling at her, ready to pounce at any moment to swallow and destroy her.

Her blood seemed to freeze in an instant. Her breathing became heavy and labored, and her body trembled uncontrollably, turning weak.

"Ah..." She shrieked, suddenly collapsing onto the deck, clutching her head and wailing in agony.

"Xiaoman." Seeing her in such pain, he could no longer bear it. He opened his arms, scooped her up, and hurried back inside.

Tong Xiaoman’s limbs were rigid, but the moment he touched her, she clung to him as if he were a lifeline, refusing to let go.
