"Young Madam, are you going to the resort today?" As Wen Xiaorou enjoyed a leisurely breakfast that morning, the headache-inducing question arose. She wanted to go, but Jing Nuo had not returned home for an entire week, and even the driver had not mentioned taking her to the resort. Was she supposed to go alone?

"Never mind, I'm not going." Wen Xiaorou buried her head back into her breakfast in frustration. Yet, knowing full well that the program was being recorded right there, she felt incredibly resentful that she couldn't watch it. Why did she have to wait for Jing Nuo's arrangements? Why did she have to wait for him to take her? Did she not have legs of her own? Could she not go by herself? Thinking of Jing Nuo’s cold attitude toward her, she grew angry, set down her utensils, and retreated to her room.

In the bedroom, Wen Xiaorou rummaged through her closet and quickly pulled out a pair of jeans, a white T-shirt, and a pale yellow jacket. Looking at the clothes laid out on the bed, she smiled at them, changed quickly, and prepared to break free from Jing Nuo’s control. She decided to go chase after her idols on her own, so she left without the driver, slipping away by herself.

The road to the resort was clear and free of traffic. Wen Xiaorou arrived at her destination in no time, paid the taxi driver, and stepped out. She soon entered the resort, where lush green hills and picturesque villas stood elegantly. The vast golf course had been partitioned into various activity zones, and all the props and facilities required by the production crew were ready. However, everywhere there was an idol, the area was already surrounded by throngs of fans. Wen Xiaorou couldn't help but break into a cold sweat; how was she supposed to squeeze in? How would she ever catch a glimpse of those idols?

For a moment, she was tempted to call Jing Nuo and ask him to arrange a spot for her, but her pride held her back. He would surely think she was just making excuses to get closer to him. With that thought, she gave up on the idea and decided to rely on herself to see her idols.

"Excuse me, could you let me through? I'd like to take a look," Wen Xiaorou said, trying to wedge herself into the crowd while pleading with the fans in front to make some room.

"Who doesn't want to get in and see? Who do you think you are, expecting us to make way for you?" A girl in front pushed her back without a hint of politeness. Wen Xiaorou frowned helplessly; the girl had a point.

Fine! She would give up for now. The show hadn't even started yet, had it? The idols were just signing autographs, and she didn't need one; she just wanted to watch the recording. She decided to save her energy and grab a good spot later. Being a woman who was particularly good at comforting herself, she settled the matter in an instant. She found a quiet patch of shade, sat down, and kept a watchful eye on the various activity zones, trying to gauge where the next action would be.

Before long, she noticed movement in one of the zones and dashed over, managing to secure a spot near the front. But as the saying goes, man proposes, God disposes. Just as she arrived, the actual recording began in a different area, and the place she had blundered into turned out to be nothing more than a staff break area.

Looking toward the distance where the show was being recorded, Wen Xiaorou was on the verge of tears; she felt utterly foolish.

By the time she scrambled over to the right spot, she was relegated to the back of the crowd, completely blocked by the people in front. She couldn't see her idols at all. And so, the morning was spent in a chaotic scramble; aside from catching a few fleeting glimpses, she had nothing to show for it.

"Sigh! So unlucky," Wen Xiaorou lamented, listening to the cheers of the crowd ahead. Her heart was in knots, dying of curiosity over what hilarious moments she was missing. It was maddening.
