Chapter 47: I’ll Buy You Milk Tea

Following Gu Mang to a particularly famous dessert shop in Starlight Plaza, Lu Yang finally believed what Fatty and Chu Yao had said: Gu Mang really did have a sweet tooth.

He bought two boxes of macarons and two slices of strawberry mille-feuille.

Just as Gu Mang took out her phone to pay, Lu Yang blocked her, proactively presenting his QR code. He even grabbed a few lollipops along the way.

Gu Mang raised an eyebrow without arguing.

"Sister Mang, what else should we buy?" Lu Yang asked, taking all the items from the clerk.

Gu Mang glanced around, her cold, clear eyes fixed on a milk tea shop not far away. "Let's go get two cups of milk tea."

"Got it."

The moment the two turned around, they saw three men standing behind them, watching them for goodness knows how long.

Gu Mang raised an eyebrow, maintaining a lazy, casual posture.

Qin Fang looked at the young boy and girl with a smile that wasn't quite a smile. He Yi Du also wore the expression of a spectator watching a good show.

"Third Brother?" Lu Yang asked in surprise, "Why are you guys here?"

Lu Chengzhou stood with one hand in his pocket, wearing a black shirt with the top two buttons undone to reveal his delicate collarbones, his sleeves rolled up a few folds. His brows were striking, and his refined face expressionless.

His pitch-black, deep eyes carried a hint of chilliness.

Qin Fang smiled dissolutely. "Are the two little kids dating?"

Lu Yang's face turned beet red as he blurted out a denial, "No way, we just came out to buy some stuff."

Gu Mang wore a nonchalant expression, using a single finger to push up the brim of her cap, before turning around with her hands in her pockets to walk toward the milk tea shop. She was effortlessly cool and edgy, not even bothering to greet Lu Chengzhou and the other two.

Lu Chengzhou's gaze had been fixed on Gu Mang the entire time. Seeing her turn around, his long, straight legs strode forward and followed her.

Seeing this, Lu Yang tried to go as well, but was pulled back by the collar of his jacket by Qin Fang, who said with a roguish smirk, "Listen to your big brother, little Lu Yang, and stay put."

Lu Yang frowned. "Brother Qin, what are you doing?"

Qin Fang curved the corners of his lips and jerked his chin toward Lu Chengzhou's direction.

Lu Yang looked over in confusion.

Gu Mang walked up to the front of the milk tea shop and said in a low voice, "Two mango milk teas, extra sugar for one, thirty percent sugar for the other, please."

"Sure." The clerk smiled and nodded, glancing at Gu Mang several more times. This young lady was simply too gorgeous!

Just as she finished taking the order and was about to mention the payment, Lu Chengzhou's voice sounded from Gu Mang's side and rear. "Add another mango milk tea, extra sugar, put it all on one bill."

Gu Mang tilted her head and looked up.

The girl's eyes were exceptionally pretty. The wild arrogance in the depths of her gaze was reined in, yet it still inadvertently leaked out a bit. Her pupils were clear and bright, and the outer corners of her brows were slightly raised, looking both wicked and untamed.

Lu Chengzhou curved his lips. "My treat."

He scanned his phone's payment code against the scanner.

Looking at the two exceptionally attractive people before her, the clerk's eyes were filled with excitement. Oh my god, their looks are off the charts!

As their gazes met, Gu Mang, unable to figure out what Lu Chengzhou was up to, also smiled with a hint of rebelliousness. "Then thank you, Young Master Lu."

The two of them picked up their milk tea and walked back.

"Want to grab dinner together?" Lu Chengzhou asked again, adding, "At Tianxiaju."

Gu Mang replied indifferently, "I only asked for leave for the first self-study period, I have to go back to school."

Lu Chengzhou raised an eyebrow. "It's rush hour right now, I'll drive you."

Gu Mang found herself increasingly unable to understand what this man was trying to do. Subconsciously, she wanted to avoid having too much contact with him for fear of exposing her identity.

"No need." She paused for two seconds before adding, "Thank you."

Lu Chengzhou stared at her breathtakingly pure and pretty features with his pitch-black eyes for a long moment before speaking, "You're welcome."
